Privacy & data practices

The minimum we need to run the wire:

• Anonymous vote tallies per dispatch (no account required)
• Tip content you voluntarily submit
• Server logs: page views, referral sources, response codes
• Your preferences (theme, motion, reading mode, vote defaults) in localStorage on this device

• No cross-site tracking. No advertising IDs. No fingerprinting.
• No account required to read, vote, or save.
• No browsing history off-site. We never see where you go when you leave.

We do not share data with third parties. There are no advertising networks, no analytics services, no remarketing pixels, no embedded social widgets that phone home. Fonts are self-hosted at build time. The wire runs on our own infra.

You control what stays on your device.

• Preferences: theme, motion, density, vote defaults — all stored in localStorage. Clear it from your browser to wipe.
• Reading list: saved dispatches live in localStorage on this device. Nothing on our servers knows you saved anything.
• Votes: anonymous on our end. We have no way to attribute a vote to a person. If you want a fresh slate, clear cookies.
• Do not track: we honor DNT and Global Privacy Control signals. With DNT on, server logs still record your request but never tie it to a vote or a session.
